About 300 metres from Lime Street railway station, Queen Square Bus Station lies at the edge of Queen Square in Liverpool city centre. Owned and managed by Merseytravel, it is one of the main departure points for bus services across the city and the wider region.

The station has 13 bus stands alongside a travel centre. Services run to destinations including Bootle, Kirkby, Preston, Runcorn, St Helens and Widnes. Operators using the station include Arriva North West, Stagecoach Merseyside & South Lancashire and HTL Buses. Most of Liverpool’s night bus network also departs from here, making it a central point for late-night travel across Merseyside.
